Centrifugal Oil Filters:

The IOW Group centrifuge is a centrifugal filter link no other. Our skilled team of engineers have re-designed a product that hasn't been updated since the 1950s, improving performance, reliability and efficiency! 


The IOW Group centrifuge filter has been designed to stop cross contamination, with dirty oil entering at the base and clean oil exiting through the top of the unit. This ensures harmful particles are removed and do not enter back into circulation of the engine. 


Bowl disc technology

IOW Group's bypass centrifuge filters utilize unique bowl disc technology. Unlike conventional centrifugal spinners/separators, the IOW Group filters have a central bowl disc stack that increases the separation efficiency, dramatically reducing the time that contaminants remain in the oil. The bowl discs increase surface area, meaning finer separation and filtration occurs. Bowl discs dramatically speeds up the precipitation of the solids from the liquid.


Remote Monitoring

IOW Group bypass centrifuge filters have dirt/sludge monitoring technology, which informs the operator when the separator needs servicing, saving valuable personnel time on otherwise unnecessary cleaning. The CentriClean remote monitor is Modbus or Bluetooth compatible and can be easily connected to your existing alarm systems. With the use of remote monitoring units, the user has the benefit of always being able to measure the centrifuges' performance and schedule services accordingly. This feature is not available with any other centrifuge filter, bringing centrifugal technology to the 21st century!

Customer Installation - IOW MP090 installed on a CAT 390F Excavator

Check out the results of an IOW MP090 Centrifuge service which was installed onboard a CAT 390F Excavator:

With an average RPM of around 6650, 475g of contaminants were collected and removed from the customer's lube oil in 700 hours.

A SCU0003 Bluetooth control panel was also mounted inside the cabin, proving valuable insights into how the centrifuge performance and when a service is required - no other manufacturer provides remote monitoring as standard.

Overview: YANMAR 8N21L-GV A client carried out a trial upgrade on an auxiliary engine lubrication system, replacing an existing GF-2 type centrifugal filter with an MP090 unit supplied by IOW Group. The system operates with a 1,200-litre oil sump capacity, using Shell Argina S240 lubricating oil while running on VLSFO 380 CST fuel. The objective of the trial was to assess whether the MP090 could deliver improved contaminant removal compared with the GF-2, while also introducing remote performance monitoring that had not previously been available
